Bronwell Tobias

is the founder of Director at Rechalex Construction (Pty) Ltd. He was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg where he completed his primary and secondary schooling. He joined Rand Roads and has since then accumulated over 16 years in the construction industry, Roads and Earthworks divisions. His career experience ranges from laboratory management, consulting, asphalt plant management, asphalt plant selection, establishment and maintenance and SMME business development.

He has an immense amount of experience in road construction materials such as mix designs, laboratory, auditing etc. An exceptional leader who is able to develop and motivate others to perform at their best. Highly self-motivated and strongly quality oriented. A proactive individual who has a logical approach to challenges.

Amongst his long list achievements are the following:

Chosen to be part of an investigation panel chosen to test, investigate and compile results and finding s relating to the GFIP highways failures. This was under the guidance of well acclaimed asphalt fundi from the USA, Jorge Souza.
Chosen to attend lectures in the USA
Establishment and Operation Management of numerous Asphalt plants, ranging from local continuous to European batch plants.
Commercial asphalt plant establishment and new business development (0 to 14million a month business) successfully showing a return of 15%
Chosen as part of the selection panel to travel abroad in identification of an asphalt plant for purchase in Europe

When he is not at work you will find Bronwell with his beautiful wife Tanya, his kids Reagan, Chanelle, Alexander and Azalea. He is also a very avid golfer and tries to play as many golf courses in South Africa as possible. A huge soccer fan who is a staunch Arsenal supporter.
